Who are you promoting to?
Before you pick channels, be clear about who pays. On male pages, most subscribers and most of the spending come from other men, and gay and bi men are the core audience. Women buy too, but in smaller numbers, so a strategy built only around them caps your reach.
That decides everything that follows: which subreddits you post in, which accounts you engage with on X, which creators you collaborate with and even how you caption a gym clip. A straight creator can keep his content exactly as it is and still write captions that make a male audience feel welcome.
It also means you don’t need to reach everyone. A few thousand of the right people seeing your posts every week is worth more than a viral clip watched by people who will never pay.
Which channels should a male creator use?
Each channel has a different job. Pick two or three and run them properly instead of touching all of them once a week.
| Channel | Its job | What you post there | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Direct traffic from niche communities | Native posts in subreddits whose rules allow creators | Post removals or a ban from moderators when rules are ignored | |
| X (Twitter) | Discovery, reposts and a public profile fans follow | Previews with media marked as sensitive | Low reach if you only post links |
| TikTok | Large safe-for-work reach and personality | Clothed clips with no sexual content | Account removal for adult references or links |
| Trust, lifestyle content and repeat viewers | Clothed photos, reels and stories | Restrictions for suggestive posts or adult links in the bio | |
| Telegram | A direct line to your most loyal fans | Announcements, polls and watermarked previews | Leaks if full content is posted |
| Collaborations | Access to another creator’s audience | Joint content or shoutouts with verified adults | Weak crossover if the audiences don’t match |
Platform rules change often. Read the current terms of each network and each subreddit before posting.
How do you promote on Reddit without getting banned?
Reddit rewards creators who behave like members of a community. Every subreddit sets its own rules on verification, posting frequency, titles and links, and moderators remove anything that breaks them. Read the sidebar and pinned posts before your first submission.
Many NSFW subreddits ask creators to verify, usually with a photo holding a handwritten sign showing your username, sent to the moderators. Do this early in the communities you plan to use.
New accounts with little karma get filtered in many communities, so spend your first weeks commenting and posting in general subreddits to give the account some history. Then build a rotation of subreddits that fit your niche, from gay and bi communities to fitness, bear or daddy subs, and post a different image or clip to each. Posting the same file to twenty subreddits within an hour is how accounts get flagged as spam.
Put your link in your Reddit profile rather than in every post, unless a community explicitly allows links.
Titles and timing on Reddit
Titles decide whether anyone clicks. Write them the way members of that community talk, mention what is in the image or clip, and skip all-caps sales language. Post when the subreddit is active: sort by new at different times of day for a week and you will see when its members are online. For a creator in London or Sydney, that often means posting outside your own evening to reach North American fans.
How should you use X for promotion?
X is one of the few large social networks where adult creators can post previews openly, as long as the media is marked as sensitive. That makes it the natural public home for a male creator’s brand.
Post several times a day and vary it: previews, short clips, thoughts, polls, replies to other creators. Accounts that only post links get very little reach. Engage with creators in your niche; mutual reposts between accounts with similar audiences are a common way to grow on X.
Pin a post with your best preview and your link. New visitors decide within seconds, and the pinned post is often the first thing they see.
Can TikTok and Instagram bring OnlyFans subscribers?
Yes, indirectly and only with safe-for-work content. Both platforms remove sexual material and restrict accounts that point openly to adult sites. What works there is personality: gym routines, day-in-the-life clips, outfit checks, humor and the behind-the-scenes side of your shoots.
The aim is to make viewers curious enough to open your profile and then your link page. Treat these accounts as the wide top of your funnel: big, cheap to reach and slow to convert.
Link in bio: how to send traffic safely
Put a neutral link page in your bio instead of a direct OnlyFans link, and keep that page free of explicit images. Create a separate tracking or free-trial link on OnlyFans for each channel, so you can see which one actually brings subscribers.
Keeping promotion accounts private
Use a separate email and phone number for promotion accounts and turn off contact syncing, so the apps never suggest your creator profile to people you know. Our guide to anonymous OnlyFans for men covers the full setup.
How do Telegram and collaborations fit in?
Telegram works best for fans who already know you. A channel where you announce new drops, run polls and share the odd preview keeps subscribers engaged and brings lapsed fans back when something new goes live. Post watermarked previews only, because anything on Telegram can be forwarded.
Collaborations put you in front of an audience that already pays for content like yours. Bunny Agency reports that cross-promotions average 15–25% subscriber crossover across its accounts. What decides the result is audience fit: two creators whose fans want very different things will see little overlap. Under OnlyFans’ acceptable use policy, every person in joint content has to be a verified, consenting adult. Our page for gay and bi creators goes further into collaborations.
How often should you post?
Consistency matters more than volume. This is a workable weekly rhythm for one creator running two or three channels.
| Channel | Suggested frequency | What to post |
|---|---|---|
| OnlyFans feed | At least one post a day | New photos or clips, polls, personal updates |
| One to three posts a day across different subreddits | A different image or clip for each community | |
| X | Several posts a day | Previews, reposts, replies and one pinned link post |
| TikTok or Instagram | Four to seven posts a week | Safe-for-work clips and stories |
| Telegram | Two to four posts a week | Drops, polls and watermarked previews |
Bunny Agency’s marketing plans use daily, platform-native posts on two or three channels. Extra channels only help once the first ones run on schedule.
What gets promotion accounts banned?
Most bans trace back to a short list of behaviors. Posting explicit content on a safe-for-work platform is the fastest route. Spam patterns come next: the same file or link posted everywhere, mass following and unfollowing, bought followers or bought engagement.
Ban evasion makes things worse. A new account opened on the same device or network after a ban can be removed as well, and some platforms then act against every account linked to you.
Misleading posts carry risk too: fake giveaways, clickbait promises and anything suggesting fans can meet you in person. Every image must show only adults who have consented. Content with anyone who is not verified breaks the social platform’s rules and OnlyFans’ policy at the same time.
How do you measure which channel pays?
Measure subscribers and revenue per channel, not likes. Give each channel its own tracking link, then check every week how many subscribers it brought, how many renewed and what they spent afterwards.
A channel that brings 50 subscribers who all leave after a month can be worth less than one that brings 10 who stay and buy PPV. This is why Bunny Agency’s Monday report shows marketing ROI per channel next to churn and revenue.
A simple weekly review is enough when you do it yourself. Once a week, note for every channel the hours you spent, the clicks on its tracking link, the new subscribers, how many of last month’s subscribers renewed and what they spent on PPV and tips. After four to six weeks the channel that carries most of the value usually stands out, and so does any channel that only eats time. Move those hours to the channel that pays, and test a new channel only when the others run on schedule.
If you would rather have the promotion done for you, our male OnlyFans marketing service runs these channels with a specialist for your niche, our chat team turns new subscribers into buyers, and account management ties it together.
